Ministry of Interior Launches Performance Management Systems Day

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, has launched the Performance Management System (PMS) Day in line with the directive of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, requiring all Ministries, Departments and Agencies to set Thursday every week apart to promote PMS.

She added: “this is a significant milestone in the Ministry’s efforts to enhance service delivery, increase efficiency, and promote productivity”.

The event was marked by the signing ceremony of the Directors’ Performance Contract. The Permanent Secretary, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, emphasized the importance of the PMS in driving the Ministry’s mandate.

“The PMS is a vital tool in our efforts to deliver on the Renewed Hope Agenda of the current Administration,” Dr. Ajani said. “It is a covenant of accountability and a promise to join forces with Mr. President to deliver his aspirations to Nigerians.”

As part of the promotion of the day, members of staff are expected to wear PMS-branded T-shirts and face caps to demonstrate their commitment to the PMS.

“The Ministry of Interior remains committed to be delivering on its mandate and contributing to the economic development of the nation,” Dr. Ajani, explained.
