Ministry of Interior Director of Press, Afonja Fatai Ajibola, Clocks 60, Retires


As Director HRM, Onoja, Retires After 35 Years in Service

Mr. Afonja Ajibola Fatai, Deputy Director Press & Public Relations and Mr. Peter Onoja, Director Human Resources Management bowed out from service today, Friday.

The two Directors are retiring after clocking sixty years of age, and thirty five years of service respectively, which is the mandatory retirement conditions.

The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Interior Dr. Aishatu Gogo Ndayako, on Friday organised a sent forth for the retiring Directors, admonishing the senior citizens to engage themselves physically and mentally and preoccupy themselves with their social activities.

The Permanent Secretary urged the retirees to get back to their respective communities and engage in legitimate ventures to give back to the society.

Dr. Gogo Ndayako stated that while in service, civil servants spent eighty percent of their time in office, adding that “but now you have time to look after yourselves.

She told the retiring Directors that the valedictory session in your honour though small, as a gesture to appreciate them and their contributions to the Ministry.

A gift packaged TV plasma of various inches was given to the duo.

In attendance were other Directors and staff of the Ministry.
