It is Controlled Safe Landing, Not Crash- Police

The Nigeria Police authorities have stated that the incident which involved its Bell 429 SNMDA helicopter on a Abuja to Bauchi flight on Tuesday January 25, 2022 was not a crash but a controlled safe landing.
To buttress the point, the police statement said none of the occupants sustained any injury. It also stated that the copter which was flown by one of it’s best pilots, only sustained minor damage on the rear rotor.
The police Air-wing was commended by the Inspector- General of Police for their professionalism and for averting the crash adding that the unit has a strong history of air safety since inception in 1972.
