2 New 150MVA Transformers, Accessories Added to TCN Stock


Two More Awaiting Delivery to Store at Lagos Port

The Transmission Company of Nigeria ( TCN) is working tirelessly to improve the power situation in the country by expanding the grid and ensuring higher reliability at its substations and lines across the country.
This entails investment in and acquisition of various equipment to boost its capacity and this is being pursued with all the vigour and resources available to it.
To this end, the company Thursday, took delivery of two brand new 150 MVA, 330/132/33kV power transformers complete with accessories at its Central Store Ojo, Lagos State from the Tincan Island Port, Apapa, Lagos.
In the meantime, another two units of 150MVA power transformers are awaiting delivery to Ojo Stores at the Lagos Port while more are being expected to berth at the port very soon.

These transformers have been earmarked for several TCN ongoing substation and lines projects nationwide, and will be delivered to the sites as the projects progress.
