The management and Board of the Nigerian Railways Corporation has appealed to the general public to endeavor to use the 2 constructed over passes within the Kubwa area when crossing rail lines.
The appeal comes on the heels of the unfortunate incident of the recent collision of a train with a vehicle at the Kubwa railway/ road intersection which led to the death of the lone occupant of the car.
In the Corporation’s statement signed by its Deputy Director, Public Relations Yakubu Mahmood, the organisation stressed the need to avoid illegal crossings.
“NRC management hereby enjoins motorists and other road users to always use the 2 constructed over passes for their safety instead of the illegal level crosings that portends great risks and danger to their lives and properties.”
“The Federal Government policy on railway modernization is ensuring safety of motorists and trains through construction of over pass in all railway constructions.”
