No Winner for 2021 Nigeria Prize for Science- NLNG


The panel of judges for the 2021 Nigeria Prize for Science has announced that none of the 48 entries submitted to the panel attained the minimum threshold of quality to clinch this year’s prize.
The announcement was made by the Chairman of the Advisory Board for the prize, Professor Alfred Susu, in a statement read on his behalf Thursday by Dr. (Mrs) Nike Akande.
The annual prize which is sponsored by the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Ltd (NLNG) in order to recognize outstanding scientific achievements by Nigerians as well as Non- Nigerians with the ultimate purpose of proffering scientific solutions to a given Nigerian problem as captured by the theme for the year, had as its theme for the year 2021 : “Innovations in Food Security”.
Meanwhile the Company has promised to announce the focus for the 2022 edition in the weeks ahead.
