The President Muhammadu Buhari led government have declared thirty three (33) inmates who escaped from Kuje maximum prison in Abuja wanted.
The 33 inmates were said to have cases relating to terrorism and being members of the Boko Haram sect.
Some of those declared wanted are Muhammad Sani Adamu, Muktar Umar, Nambil Zakari Gambo, AbdulKareem Musa, Abdulsalami Adamu and others.
It will be recalled that gunmen believed to be Boko Haram on Tuesday night invaded the Kuje Medium Custodial Centre, bombing their way in and freeing 879 inmates.
Among the inmates declared wanted were at least 64 persons who have terror-related charges on their necks.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Correctional Service has released the names and pictures of 69 inmates who were arrested on charges of terrorism.
This followed an attack orchestrated by the Islamic for West Africa Province (ISWAP) on the facility.
“If you see any of these people, or have useful information which may lead to their recapture, please call 07000099999, 09060004598 or 08075050006 or Any Law Enforcement Agency nearest to you. We guarantee to keep your information anonymous,” the NCoS said in a release on Friday.
President Muhammadu Buhari is however currently meeting with his Service Chiefs and Ministers, to discuss the incident and declared them wanted.
