FG Promises More Efficient, Easily Accessible Ministry of Interior Services

The Minister of Interior Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has pledged efficiency in service delivery pertaining to all services which the Ministry of Interior renders to the public. He also promised to ensure that such services can easily be accessed by citizens in any part of the country.

The Minister made the promise on Thursday, while hosting HRH Oba Mufutau Mohammed Gbadamosi Ajabadi (I) Esuwoye (II), Olofa of Offa and HRN Oba Sharafa Adeniyi Buhari, Onijagbo of Ijagbo, who were on courtesy visit to the Minister in his Abuja office.

Dr. Tunji-Ojo said apart from the passport office in Offa, all other services available in the Ministry of Interior and its Agencies will be made available and accessible to Nigerians as part of dividends of the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“We will ensure that services of the Ministry of Interior get to everywhere in the country.”
He further stated that with hard work and determination, this can be achieved; as it does not require rocket science to make this happen

Assuring the two Monarchs that Offa is very important to the government in passport administration, he disclosed that the Federal government is desirous of decentralising passport issuance so that Nigerians can easily obtain this vital travelling document through sweet experience.

Earlier, the Olofa of Offa, His Royal Highness – Oba Mufutau Mohammed Gbadamosi has commended the Minister of Interior for his achievements in office and dedication to duty.

The Obas also made a request for a Fire Training Academy to be cited in Ijagbo, they also requested that a Passport Production Centre be established in Offa to give the two communities a sense of belonging and to also enable them enjoy some dividends of democracy.

Other dignitaries that attended the function are the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry – Dr. Aishetu Gogo Ndayako, CG Immigration Services – Mrs Caroline Wuraola Adepoju, Directors in the Ministry, top management staff and special aides to the Minister
