A group, Arewa Youth Assembly, AYA, has called on the Government and security agencies to quickly arrest and prosecute the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB who have been killing northern youth in Anambra and other South East states noting that the killing was in a way to provoke reprisals in northern states but said they will not bow to such incitement.
Ambassador Abdul Danbatire Speaker of the Arewa Youth Assembly for good Leadership gave this caution in a press briefing saying they condemned such attacks as it will not lead the nation anywhere if the perpetrators are not arrested and made to face the punishment commensurate to their offence.
He said the group is a peace loving one and they are urging the government to intervene to ensure lives and property of northern people in Anambra and other states are secure from the terrorists IPOB who are killing for no justification.
According to him: ” We the northern Nigeria youth has totally condemned the killing of northerners in anambra state. Wec call on anambra state government with the security agency to please arrest the members of IPOB who kills our brother.
” We want the IPOB terrorist to know we are peace loving people as we have their Igbo brothers here in the north doing their normal business. We want to call the attention of our brothers in the north to please not retaliate for the killing because that is what the IPOB terrorist want and we are for peace and unity of Nigeria.
” Let all the people of Northern Nigeria vacate Anambra state with immediate effect”, he said.
