Stella Oduah dumps PDP for APC

The senator representing Anambra north senatorial zone in Anambra state, Stella Oduah has left the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) to join the All Progressive Congress (APC). The Anambra political stalwart was received officially into APC in a brief ceremony in Abuja on Thursday April 26th, 2021.

The senator has been welcomed into the APC despite having a standing case where she is being arraigned for a charge of 9.4 billion Naira from her previous position as minister of aviation.

Oduah’s decamping from PDP to APC is a major boost for the ruling party as they prepare for the Anambra State gubernatorial elections slated to hold on November 6th, 2021. The party recently appointed governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State as the head of their campaign team for the fast approaching elections and he was in attendance as Mrs Oduah was received into the fold.

Some of the other notable names in attendance include Atiku Bagudu, the chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), Mai Mala Buni, chairman APC caretaker committee and Ovie Omo-Agege, deputy senate president.
