The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Interior ,Dr. Shuaib Belgore, charged contractors on the early completion of projects at the ongoing 3000 Capacity Custodial Centre Karshi, Abuja.

Dr. Belgore gave the charge on Wednesday, February 8th, 2023, while on routine inspection of the ongoing projects of the facility. He however commended the contractors for the quality of job done so far, when he affirmed that the level of job is encouraging.

The Permanent Secretary implored the contractors to cooperate with the government to ensure an early completion of the facility, in order for President Muhammadu Buhari to commission it for use, as his administration invested massively on the project.

During field assessment of one of the projects at the custodial facility, the project officer confirmed to the Permanent Secretary that projects that have already commenced would be completed within the period of six to eight months subject to availability of funds.

Dr. Belgore conveys the assurance of the Minister of Interior to contractors for making funds available to complete the project and put it to use.

While responding during the inspection tour, one of the contractor Mr. Moses Abioye appreciated the Permanent Secretary for the visit and also thanked him for his words of encouragement and assurance on the executed project so far.

He urged the government to urgently make funds available to deliver the project timeously, in view of the inflationary trend in the country.
