Ambassador Maureen Tamuno Appointed Managing Director of AICL

…… ICC Manager Sacked, Julius Berger to Renovate Centre

A new Managing Director has been appointed to take charge at the Abuja Investment Company Limited, (AICL) with immediate effect.

She is Ambassador (Dr.) Maureen Tamuno who was the Nigerian High Commissioner to Jamaica, Belize, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic.

In the press release announcing the approval of the appointment by the FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike, which was signed by the Director of Press, Anthony Ogunleye, she is described as “an experienced public officer, entrepreneur, and diplomat”.

It will be recalled that the former Managing Director was one of the former Heads of FCT Agencies sacked by the Minister shortly after assumption of office.

In another development, the Minister has terminated with immediate effect, the contract of Messrs Integrated Facility Management Services Ltd for the management of the International Conference Center, Abuja.

Also, Messrs Julius Berger Nig Plc has been contracted for the immediate comprehensive renovation of the Center, Abuja.
