PDP Felicitates With Former Governor Makarfi at 66

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has felicitated with former National Chairman of the Party and two-term Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Ahmad Mohammed Makarfi as he celebrates his 66th birthday.
 
Addressing him as a quintessential leader and a bridge builder, the PDP commended the selflessness, dexterity and sacrificial roles played by Senator Makarfi as National Chairman to salvage and stabilize the Party during its trying moment to the admiration of Nigerians and the International Community.  
 
In a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, PDP commended Makarfi for his unwavering commitment with other leaders in repositioning the party in the mission to Rescue, Redirect and Rebuild Nigeria.
 
The party prayed God to grant him many more years in good health for the good of the nation and humanity at large.
 
Describing the former Governor, the statement states; “Senator Makarfi is an accomplished Public Servant; exceptionally thorough administrator, brilliant legislator, very humane leader and Statesman who continues in his selfless contributions towards the unity and development of our nation.
 
“Over the years, Senator Makarfi continues to bring to bear his wealth of experience, training, discipline and ingenuity as an accountant, banker, university lecturer and expert in corporate and public governance to excel in political leadership.
 
“As Governor of Kaduna State, he displayed an uncommon commitment and achieved unprecedented milestones in human capital and infrastructural development in all sectors across the State. As a result of his deft administrative skills, Kaduna State under his tenure enjoyed peaceful co-existence and harmonious living among various interests in the State in line with the manifesto of the PDP.
 
“In the Senate, he deployed his skills as the Chairman of Senate Committee on Finance to engender accountability, transparency and prudent management of resources in the system.”
