The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of one of Nigeria leading financial institutions, Access Bank Plc, has died from injuries sustained in a helicopter accident which occured in California, United States of America on Friday.
Details regarding the circumstances of his death are still sketchy.
Wigwe who was supposed to retire from office in a few years time was already building a world class university which was to open a new vista in higher education standards and offerings in the country and probably across the African continent before this sudden tragic incident.
Others feared dead in the same crash are his wife,son and another co-traveller.This is apart from the cabin and crew of the plane.
