NCC Essay Competition : Deadline for Submission of Entries is July 30

The deadline for the submission of entries for the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) 2021 National Essay Competition for undergraduates is July 30, 2021 just about 20 days away from the date of this write-up while winning essays will be announced on Monday, September 13,2021. The topic for this year’s edition is “5G Technology: Opportunities and Challenge”.
This edition, the third in the series, will focus on Fifth Generation (5G) technology with the following objectives: increasing awareness on 5G Technology, engaging and enhancing research,encouraging academic competition & excellence as well as building capacity of undergraduates in Nigerian tertiary institutions. The first prize is a Laptop, printer and half a million naira, second prize ,N300,000 cash and N200,000 cash prize for the third pla
The competition is open to all undergraduates in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions notwithstanding whether they are private or public institutions.
All participants are expected to register their personal details in the form provided for download on the NCC website, signed by their Deans as confirmation that they are genuine Nigerian Undergraduates.
All Essays are to contain a minimum of 500 words and a maximum of 1,000 words, must be referenced, and will be subjected to plagiarism checks.
Also, the essay must be broken into abstract, introduction, main body and conclusion. Essays are to be submitted via e- mail in PDF format to aogbadu@ncc.gov.ng with aattachments.
Winners will be invited by the Committee members to defend their essays by way of presentation. Candidates that cannot successfully defend ther submissions will be disqualified.
