60 People Kidnapped in Zamfara as Bandits Attack Yet Again

Reports are that 60 people have been kidnapped in Zamfara as bandits attack yet again.
The state of Zamfara is often attacked by bandits and once again they have struck, as atleast 60 people in a fresh attack are considered to have been kidnapped in Rini community in Zamfara State on Thursday night.

The bandits came around 10pm and after that attack, about 60 person were declared missing and could not be accounted for by other residents of the Rini community.

It is believed that the bandits are intensifying their attacks in Zamfara because The Nigerian Military have been giving them a hard time in recent times.

Zamafara is notorious for these kind of banditry, and the Rini community is also not new to this scenario, as 15 students and 4 teachers have once been captured by the bandits and we’re seen in a live video days later begging the Zamfara government to “please do the needful”

The jntial Ransome demanded by the abductors was N350 million but has been slashed to N150 million

A notorious bandit, Halilu Kachalla, who operates in Bakura, Maradun, Shinkafi communities of Zamfara State and Sabon Birni in Sokoto State is suspected to be behind the abduction of the students of the College of Agriculture and Animal Sciences.

Ii is expected that the state government intensifies it’s efforts to release the abducted anytime soon.
