UBA Foundation Calls for Entries for 2021 Essay Competition


The UBA Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of the United Bank for Aftrica group has called for entries for this year’s national essay competition.

The annual competition which is targeted at senior secondary students is part of the Foundation’s initiative aimed at promoting reading culture as well as healthy, intellectual competition among senior secondary students in Nigeria and across Africa.

The theme for this year’s edition is: What is the role of technology in educating the African youth. The top prize is a N3m educational grant to any African University of choice followed by first and second runners up who get N2.5m and N2m educational grants to NY African university respectively.

To qualify, participant must, be a senior secondary school student in Nigeria, submit a handwritten essay of not more than 750 words, submit a passport photograph and a reliable means of identication such as national ID, international passport and birth certificate.
