…….as Grace Ike-led FCT Council Pay Him Courtesy Visit
The Minister of Interior Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has lauded the important role of the media as the watch dog of society holding the government accountable and ensuring that leaders live up to their responsibilities.
He gave the thumbs up when the leadership of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council led by its Chairman, Comrade Grace Ike paid a courtesy visit to his office on Friday.
The Minister declared that his doors were always open to journalists while assuring the visiting team of the support of the Ministry of Interior.
He also congratulated the Chairman of the NUJ FCT council, Comrade Grace Ike, on her historic emergence as the first female Chairman of NUJ FCT Council, acknowledging her impressive track record as a correspondent and leader of the Press Corps at the National Assembly.
The Chairman of NUJ, FCT Council, Comrade Grace lke expressed her appreciation for the warm reception and highlighted areas of concern, describing the Minister as a committed youth with a passion for driving positive changes in the country.
She encouraged the Minister to continue partnering with the media as the Ministry of Interior delivers on its mandate in fulfillment of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
