PenCom Announces Take -over of Access Pension Custodian by First Pension Custodian

The National Pension Commission (PenCom) has announced the acquisition of Access Pension Custodian Limited by First Pension Custodian Limited.
In a statement released Monday, the Pensions regulator explained that “the acquisition is the culmination of the divestment process by Access Pension Custodian from the pension custody business”.
Following this development, all assets under the custody of Access Pension Custodian Limited have been transferred to the acquiring company, First Pension Custodian Limited.
In addition, its operating licence has been returned to PenCom.
The Commission assured all and sundry of its commitment to the continued diligent execution of its mandate.
“The Commission assures stakeholders and the general public of its continued commitment to the effective regulation and supervision of the industry”.
