PDP: National Caucus, NEC meeting postponed

As part of efforts to ensure total reconciliation between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, PDP has postponed it’s scheduled National Caucus and National Executive Committee meetings.

PDP National Caucus and NEC meetings were earlier slated for Wednesday, August 10 and Thursday, August 11, 2022.

In a statement, the PDP National Secretary, Samuel N. Anyanwu on Monday said a new date will be announced in due course.

The statement read in part, “This is to inform all members of the PDP National Caucus and National Executive Committee that the meetings of the two bodies earlier scheduled for Wednesday, August 10 and Thursday, August 11, 2022, respectively, have been postponed.

“The postponement is due to unforeseen circumstances. A new date will be announced in due course. All inconveniences are deeply regretted.”

It was also learnt that postponement of the NEC and the National Caucus was to stave off ongoing plots to remove Senator Iyorchia Ayu as National Chairman of the PDP.
