EDSIEC Postpones LG Elections to September 2

     ……Campaigns Begin June 24 , Ends August 31

The Edo State Independent Electoral Commission (EDSIEC)has announced a new date for the state’s local government elections which had earlier been fixed for May 6, 2023.

In the new time table published by the Commission,  while political primaries ends on June 1, collection, submission of forms by parties as well as  party lists will be carried out from June 2 to June 15 , 2023 

One week after, the Commission will publish validated names of parties’ candidates while electioneering campaigns commences on June 24.

Names of all party agents are to be submitted on August 22. Electioneering campaigns will end on August 31 preparing the way for the elections which come up on September 2, 2023
