Capacity Building: Budget And National Planning Ministry Train Staff

The Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning, has organized a two day training focused on building the capacity of its staff on work ethics and values in the public service, effective administrative procedures, team building in work place among others.

The training which was organised by the National Planning Arm of the Ministry, held at Fraser Suites, Abuja, from 7th -8th July, 2022.

Other areas the training focused on were strategic communication, processes and procedures, strategic human resource management, financial regulations in the public service, public procurement and prospects and the dynamics of reforms in the Nigerian Federal Civil Service.

In her welcome address, the representative of the president, Konrad-Adenauer-Stigtung Foundation in Nigeria, commended the Honourable Minister, Clem Ikanade Agba for adding value to governance and ensuring constant growth and cooperation in the Ministry.

She also encouraged participants to continually utilize training opportunities as it will help them produce results in their daily schedules, while appreciating the Permanent Secretary for her contribution towards strengthening individual capacities.

On her part, the Permanent Secretary who was represented by Dr. Gloria Amhed, Director, Special Duties and Coordinator of NEC Secretariat thanked the Konrad Adenauer-Stiftung foundation for its consistent trainings.

The PS also appreciated KAS for ensuring a healthy relationship in building the capacity of NEC Secretariat and its Staff for efficient team work and strategic human resource management.

The Konrad Adenauer-Stiftung foundation is a none political Foundation whose aim is to strengthen growth in governance, Government Institutions and Rule of Law.
