NAICOM Commissions Lecture Theatre at KASU


The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), Thursday, commissioned the newly constructed 150-Capacity Lecture Theatre which it executed in conjunction with the Kaduna State University.

The support for building named ‘NAICOM Building’ was undertaken by the Commission under its programme known as Financial Assistance to Tertiary Institutions (FATI).

The Commissioner for Insurance,Olorundare Sunday Thomas who was represented by the Commission’s Head of Public Affairs, Rasaaq Salami, explained that “the support to the Kaduna State University was in furtherance of resolve of the Management of NAICOM to achieve one of its mandate which is to promote insurance education and other related subjects towards achieving human capital development provided for in Section 19 (c) of the NAICOM Act 1997”.

“This project was carried out through our ‘Financial Assistance to Tertiary Institutions’ (FATI).

While thanking the Vice- Chancellor of the University, Professor Musa Ashafa and other management staff for the timely completion of the project, the Commission urged him to continue to strive towards attracting more development to the institution.

Thomas also thanked the university for “the honour done the Commission by naming this facility after NAICOM.”
