The Youth Leader of the North Central zone of the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Zubair Aliyu Rogun has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Olumode Samuel Adeyemi as the Controller- General of the Federal Fire Service.
“On behalf of the leadership and members of the All Progressives Congress
(APC) North Central Youth Wings, I stand before you with immense gratitude and joy. We gather here today to extend our heartfeltappreciation to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the
President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, for the historic appointment of a
distinguished son of North Central Nigeria, our very own Kogi-born professional, Olumode Samuel Adeyemi, as the Controller General of the Federal Fire Service”, said Rogun
He said the appointment is not just a recognition of one man’s
achievements but a loud and clear message from Mr. President that this
administration is committed to inclusive governance, meritocracy, and
the recognition of competence and professionalism across all geopolitical
zones of our great country.
“Mr. President, we thank you for finding Olumode worthy of such a sensitive
national assignment. He is a seasoned, experienced, and visionary professional
whose dedication to service has never gone unnoticed. His elevation to this
position brings pride not only to Kogi State but also to the entire North Central
region and indeed the youth constituency of Nigeria.
‘Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, while we celebrate this well-deserved
appointment, we also take this opportunity to humbly appeal to the Federal
Government for continuous support. We call for enhanced capacity building
and the provision of modern resources that will enable the Controller General
and his team at the Federal Fire Service to effectively deliver on their mandate
of fire prevention, emergency response, and the protection of lives and
property across our nation.
“As Northern youths, we reaffirm our unwavering support for President
Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. We pledge to continue mobilizing the youth
of the North Central Zone and beyond in support of good governance,
national development, and the entrenchment of democratic values.
‘We are confident that under the leadership of Olumode Samuel Adeyemi, the
Federal Fire Service will experience a positive transformation that will inspire
trust, build resilience, and ensure the safety and security of our communities.
“We also wish to use this golden opportunity to appreciate Hon. Dr Olubunmi
Tunji-Ojo the Honourable Minister of Interior over the massive reforms in the
Federal Ministry of Interior.
“The Nigerian youths aligns with your reform and we score you A+++ for the excellent performance thus far.
On behalf of the youth, he passed a vote of confidence on the Minister ‘for being a very good ambassador of the youth constituency.
