Obaseki Hails Agencies for Improved Security in Edo State

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has said the state government’s synergy with security agencies has reduced kidnapping along the Benin-Auchi Expressway, assuring that government will continue to review its strategies to sustain the development.
The governor said this while reviewing the state of security in Edo, after a joint security meeting with heads of various security agencies at the Government House, Benin City.
“The reports showed that the security environment in Edo is relatively calm. Steps have been taken to ensure that incessant kidnapping and armed robbery along the Benin-Auchi Expressway are brought under control.
Edo State Commissioner of Police (CP), Phillip Ogbadu, who reviewed the security environment, said the police had undertaken various operations and reports had shown that it was safer to reside in Edo.
