The Senate, on Wednesday, through its Joint Committee on Communications, approved the N549.6 billion budgetary projection of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) for 2024.
This followed a thorough defence of the budget by the management of the Commission led by its Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Aminu Maida and satisfaction by the Committee members, who asked series of questions from the Commission on the budget.
The 2024 N549.6bn budget proposal of the telecom regulatory agency was approved via voice votes of the Committee members following a motion moved by Senator Tahir Monguno (Borno North) and was ratified by the Committee’s Chairman, Senator Ikra Aliyu (Zamfara Central).
