2023 election will not break Nigeria – Hon Tolu Bankole

The ruling All Progressives Congress, National Leader of Persons With Disabilities, PWDs, Hon Tolu Bankole has reiterated that 2023 general election will be peaceful despite the current challenges and needless tension by a few segment of society.

Hon Bankole who is confident that the recent emerging security challenges of kidnapping will soon become a thing of the past due to the recent gains as a result of the matching order by the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, to halt the attackers on their tracks.

The PWDs leader, while speaking during a media chat said: ” The drums of dooms and wars because of insecurity must stop. Let us give peace a chance by working for the peace and stability of Nigeria irrespective of religion, tribe or ethnicity.

“Let us talk peace; work for peace; let us embrace peace; let us work for the unity and prosperous Nigeria for Nigerians. Nigeria security is the collective responsibility of all Nigerians. If you see something please say something, that is the key to lasting peace in Nigeria. Enough is enough, this beat of war must stop, we in the PWDs community will not dance to it.”

As the official campaigns for the general elections beckons, Bankole urges all political actors and their supporters to make it issue based rather than hauling biles and character assassination. He assured all members of the PWDs community that their voices would be heard loudly by the hierarchy of the party leading to the election.

“I assure all members of PWDs community that the advocacy for good governance, equal rights for all and total implementation of Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Act 2018 across all the states in Nigeria is not negotiable” he concluded.
