In the quest for a more wholesome Nigeria, and to promote Active Responsible Citizenship, Conflict Prevention, National Integration and Peaceful Coexistence, the Network and Advocacy Group of Lux Terra Leadership Foundation, held the third in a series of training programmes for NYSC members on Thursday the 22nd of April, 2021.
Among issues dealt with at the training were Civic Rights and Responsibilities, the Imperative of Mutual Understanding for Peaceful Coexistence, the Creative Management of Diversities and Conflicts, as well as the Promotion of Social Justice and Social Inclusion.
Highlights of the training event include an unscheduled visit by the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brig Gen Shuaibu Ibrahim, which left a great impression on the participants.
The DG who was visibly excited at the training event, emphasized the critical role of NYSC members in promoting national unity and national integration. He commended Lux Terra for such an important initiative at this critical time in our nation’s history.
The training of Corps members is one in a series of interventions by the Network and Advocacy Group of Lux Terra – supported by the MacArthur Foundation and OSIWA, towards promoting greater justice and social inclusion, mutual understanding, conflict management, peaceful coexistence and national integration in Nigeria.
